Responsibilities
- Oversee all city council meeting procedures, agenda preparation, and official record maintenance
- Administer municipal elections, voter registration, and campaign finance compliance
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with California Public Records Act
- Authenticate official city documents, ordinances, and resolutions
- Serve as clerk for city boards and commissions
- Implement records management systems for digital and physical archives
- Develop public outreach programs for civic engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government experience with records management focus
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of California election laws and Brown Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and document automation
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and public speaking skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines
