Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes
- Oversee municipal elections, including voter registration and certification processes
- Respond to public records requests in compliance with Texas Government Code
- Prepare and maintain city council agendas and supporting documentation
- Administer oaths of office and notary public services for city officials
- Coordinate with legal department to ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage document retention and destruction policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in Texas open records laws and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written communication and public speaking abilities
- Proven project management skills for election coordination
