Responsibilities
- Preserve and authenticate all official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Coordinate City Council agendas, minutes, and public hearing documentation
- Oversee voter registration, election logistics, and candidate qualification processes
- Manage public records requests and compliance with Florida Sunshine Laws
- Administer municipal records retention policies and digital archiving systems
- Serve as the official keeper of the city seal and certification authority
- Facilitate interdepartmental records management training and protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal records management or government administration experience
- Florida Notary Public certification required
- Expertise in Florida public records laws and municipal governance
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Experience coordinating municipal elections and voter processes
- Strong written communication and public presentation skills
