Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and legislative actions
- Oversee city election processes, including voter registration and ballot management
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals and documents
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open government laws
- Lead digital transformation of record-keeping systems for enhanced accessibility
- Support City Council meetings through agenda preparation and minute-keeping
- Develop public outreach programs to improve civic engagement and transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal government records management
- Expertise in California public records laws (Government Code ยงยง 6250-6276)
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems and digital archiving
- Strong knowledge of Robert's Rules of Order and parliamentary procedure
- Proven ability to manage high-volume public records requests
- Valid California driver's license and ability to work flexible hours
