Responsibilities
- Safeguard and maintain all official city records, ordinances, minutes, and public documents
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot administration
- Provide administrative support to the City Council and public meetings
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer oaths of office and serve as the city's official notary
- Coordinate document retention policies and digital archiving systems
- Act as liaison between citizens, elected officials, and city departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oklahoma open records laws and election procedures
- Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Ability to manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality
- Experience with public meeting facilitation and parliamentary procedure
