Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Manage City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and public records requests
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer public records compliance and open government regulations
- Coordinate with legal counsel on document authentication and notarization
- Manage records retention and digital archiving systems
- Serve as liaison between public officials and constituents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal records management
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Florida Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Deep knowledge of Florida Sunshine Law and public records statutes
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
