Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with precision
- Oversee municipal elections, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide administrative support to the City Council, including agenda preparation and documentation
- Facilitate public records requests and maintain transparency in government operations
- Administer oaths of office and notary services for city officials
- Coordinate legislative tracking and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Lead digital transformation of records management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expertise in public records laws (NMSA 14-2-1 et seq.) and open-meeting regulations
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
