Responsibilities
- Manage all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and redistricting processes in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Administer oaths of office, public records requests, and document authentication services
- Lead digital transformation of records management systems to enhance accessibility and security
- Provide legislative support to the City Council, including agenda preparation and document distribution
- Serve as the official custodian of the city seal and oversee ceremonial functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal government, records management, or legislative affairs
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation or equivalent professional certification
- Expertise in California election law, Public Records Act, and Brown Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and digital document systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to draft clear policies
- Proven experience leading cross-departmental projects and managing teams
