Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, documents, and archives in compliance with California Public Records Act
- Administer municipal elections, including voter registration, ballot preparation, and election logistics
- Prepare and certify City Council agendas, minutes, and legislative actions
- Oversee public records requests and information dissemination protocols
- Act as custodian of the City Seal and official municipal documents
- Provide administrative support to City Council and advisory bodies
- Ensure compliance with state election laws and municipal codes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of local government experience with 2+ years in records/elections management
- Expert knowledge of California Election Code, Brown Act, and Public Records Act
- Advanced proficiency in record management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, FileBound)
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication and public presentation skills
- Valid California driver's license
