Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official municipal records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Administer oaths of office and manage public record requests in compliance with Texas Public Information Act
- Coordinate City Council meetings, agendas, and public hearing documentation
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot certification processes
- Develop and implement records retention policies aligned with legal requirements
- Serve as liaison between City departments and the public regarding official documentation
- Maintain digital archives and ensure secure record-keeping systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal records management or local government experience
- Proficiency in Texas Public Information Act and open records laws
- Advanced knowledge of municipal governance structures and procedures
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in digital records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Exceptional written communication and public interaction skills
