Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate City Council meetings, agendas, and public notice requirements
- Oversee records management systems ensuring accessibility and compliance with Texas laws
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Process public records requests while balancing transparency and confidentiality
- Advise city officials on parliamentary procedures and legal compliance
- Manage business licensing and permit documentation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal records management or government administration
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) certification preferred
- Expertise in Texas Public Information Act and Open Meetings Act
- Advanced proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
