Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and preservation of official city records, ordinances, and minutes
- Manage public record requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate city council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Oversee business licensing and permitting documentation
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Implement record retention policies and digital archiving systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal records management or government administration
- Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of Indiana open records laws and municipal procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
