Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with Maryland Public Information Act
- Coordinate city elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Provide administrative support to Mayor's Office and City Council meetings
- Maintain archival systems for historical documents and public records
- Supervise records management staff and implement retention policies
- Serve as primary liaison for municipal legal documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal records management experience
- Expertise in Maryland public records laws and election protocols
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume document processing workflows
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written/verbal communication and public interaction abilities
