Responsibilities
- Serve as the official custodian of city records, ordinances, resolutions, and legislative actions
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Prepare and certify official city documents, including contracts and minutes
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with public records laws
- Oversee the city's legislative tracking and codification system
- Coordinate with city council and provide administrative support for public meetings
- Develop and implement records management policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal government or public records management
- Certification as a Municipal Clerk (CMC) or Certified Public Administrator (CPA)
- Expert knowledge of California election laws and public records regulations
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and document automation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
