Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Supervise municipal election processes including ballot preparation, polling place coordination, and results certification
- Provide expert guidance on public records requests (CORA) and ensure timely, compliant responses
- Manage city clerk office operations including budget oversight, staff training, and technology integration
- Serve as the official custodian of the city seal and authenticate municipal documents
- Coordinate with legal department on legislative tracking and code updates
- Develop public-facing digital systems for records access and election information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government experience with records management
- Colorado Municipal Clerk certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert knowledge of Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) and election laws
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and document automation
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting official documents
- Experience managing public-facing digital platforms and citizen engagement tools
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
