Responsibilities
- Oversee all municipal elections, voter registration, and election compliance per Minnesota statutes
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with archival precision
- Administer the city seal, document authentication, and public records requests
- Coordinate council agendas, public notices, and legislative documentation
- Lead records digitization initiatives for enhanced accessibility and security
- Train staff on records management protocols and open records laws
- Serve as the primary liaison for interdepartmental record-keeping coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal records management or election administration experience
- Expertise in Minnesota election laws and open records compliance (Minn. Stat. Ch. 13)
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume public records requests
- Certification in Municipal Clerkship (CMC) or Records Management preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse stakeholders
