Responsibilities
- Maintain official City Commission records, minutes, and ordinances with meticulous attention to detail
- Administer oaths and public notary services for municipal documents
- Manage public records requests and ensure timely responses per Florida statute 119.07
- Oversee election processes and voter registration coordination
- Coordinate with legal counsel on public meeting compliance and record retention
- Supervise municipal records management system and digital archiving
- Serve as liaison between City departments and the public for record access
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal clerk experience with Florida Sunshine Law expertise
- Florida Notary Public certification required
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Extensive knowledge of municipal governance and parliamentary procedure
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting official documents
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
