Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate public hearings and council meetings with precise documentation
- Implement digital record-keeping systems to enhance accessibility and security
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Train staff on records management best practices
- Collaborate with legal department on legislative compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and open records laws
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage complex projects
- Strong written communication for drafting official documents
- Experience with election administration and voter systems
