Responsibilities
- Oversee municipal records management, including archival preservation and digital transformation initiatives
- Manage public information requests and ensure compliance with Oregon Public Records Law
- Administer city elections, ballot preparation, and voter education programs
- Prepare and certify official city documents, ordinances, and resolutions
- Lead legislative tracking and agenda coordination for City Council proceedings
- Supervise records retention policies and document security protocols
- Develop public-facing communication materials explaining civic processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Oregon public records and election laws
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, M-Files)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Demonstrated experience leading public records digitization projects
