Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify official municipal records, ordinances, and minutes
- Manage public records requests ensuring compliance with Kentucky Open Records Act
- Oversee election administration processes and voter registration
- Provide administrative support to Louisville Metro Council meetings
- Process business licenses, permits, and municipal filings
- Train staff on records management protocols
- Develop public outreach initiatives for civic engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 3+ years records management or municipal government experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in Kentucky Sunshine Laws and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
