Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain official city records, ordinances, and minutes with absolute accuracy
- Manage election processes, voter registration, and polling place coordination
- Process public records requests within legal compliance timelines
- Administer oaths of office and serve as notary for municipal documents
- Coordinate City Council meetings and legislative tracking systems
- Lead records digitization initiatives and document management systems
- Provide direct constituent services and information dissemination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Michigan election laws and FOIA regulations
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error record-keeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority deadlines simultaneously
