Responsibilities
- Oversee all municipal record management, including document preservation, retention policies, and public record requests
- Manage City Council meeting logistics, agenda preparation, and minute documentation
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals and documentation
- Coordinate municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Serve as primary liaison between the public and city government, providing critical information services
- Ensure compliance with state and federal record-keeping regulations
- Develop and implement records management systems and digital archiving solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of California Public Records Act and Brown Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and municipal databases
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines
- Valid California driver's license
