Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Oversee public record requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate with City Council and mayoral offices on legislative documentation
- Administer oaths of office and notarize official documents
- Develop and implement records retention policies and digital archives
- Lead public-facing services for voter registration and municipal elections
- Prepare agendas and support materials for City Council meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of Texas Open Records Act and municipal governance
- Exceptional attention to detail with complex documentation
- Strong written/verbal communication and public service skills
- Notary Public certification preferred
