Responsibilities
- Manage, preserve, and provide access to official city records, ordinances, and minutes
- Coordinate City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and documentation
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer public records requests in compliance with Texas Public Information Act
- Authenticate and seal official city documents and certificates
- Develop and maintain records management systems
- Advise city officials on legislative procedures and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of Texas municipal law and election procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
