Responsibilities
- Maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and legislative proceedings with meticulous accuracy
- Manage public records requests ensuring timely responses while maintaining legal compliance
- Oversee city elections administration including voter registration and ballot preparation
- Coordinate municipal board meetings and provide comprehensive clerical support
- Authenticate official documents through notary services and signature verification
- Develop and implement records management systems for long-term preservation
- Lead public outreach initiatives to enhance civic engagement and transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Pennsylvania Sunshine Law and public records regulations
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and document automation
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with public-facing experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
