Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure including sidewalks, streetlights, and park facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, jackhammers) and hand tools safely
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests within city guidelines
- Perform routine inspections of municipal properties and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety protocols
- Complete accurate maintenance documentation and reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
