Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, playgrounds, and recreational areas
- Operate light machinery including mowers, trimmers, and basic hand tools
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure hazards
- Assist with seasonal public works projects (snow removal, landscaping)
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for coordinated service delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in facility maintenance or groundskeeping
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and repair protocols
- Pass background check and drug screening
