Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on parks, sidewalks, and municipal buildings
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, mowers, and power tools
- Respond to public service requests within 24-hour timeframe
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Assist in emergency storm response and cleanup operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid NC Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of HVAC/plumbing systems
- Successful background check and drug screening
