Responsibilities
- Maintain and preserve official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and minutes of council meetings.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, packets, and official correspondence for City Council and Commission meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public and City officials, responding to inquiries regarding public records and city procedures.
- Manage the filing system to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with retention schedules.
- Assist in the coordination of municipal elections and voter registration activities.
- Perform data entry and maintain databases related to city administration and legislation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Records Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a municipal office, administrative role, or clerk position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
