  • Manage and maintain the City’s official records, ensuring compliance with state public records laws and retention schedules.
  • Process and respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Attend all City Council meetings and serve as the recording secretary, ensuring accurate documentation of proceedings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, media, and city staff, answering inquiries regarding municipal codes and meeting schedules.
  • Assist in the coordination of public hearings, elections, and special civic events.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree in Public Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative or government setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn specialized government software.
