Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare, distribute, and archive agendas for City Council and Board of Trustees meetings.
- Process and respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in strict adherence to state and local laws.
- Coordinate interdepartmental communications to ensure consistent information flow.
- Assist the City Manager with administrative duties, special projects, and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with all municipal code requirements regarding public records and meetings.
- Oversee the maintenance of the City's filing systems and databases.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in municipal or government administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management software.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
