Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance and organization of official City records, resolutions, ordinances, and minutes.
- Oversee the processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and ensure timely compliance.
- Coordinate and prepare agendas, packets, and official correspondence for City Council and Commission meetings.
- Supervise the administration of local elections, voter registration drives, and polling site operations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the City Council, Mayor, and the general public regarding municipal procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal regulations governing public records.
- Coordinate the scheduling and logistics for city-sponsored community events and ceremonies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Paralegal Studies, or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a public sector or corporate office setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government document management software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation are preferred.
