Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and historical archives, ensuring full compliance with archival standards.
- Process and record incoming correspondence, including emails, letters, and official documents, routing them to the appropriate departments with speed and accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, vendors, and city employees by answering inquiries regarding city services, permits, and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas, board packets, and official publications for city council and commission meetings.
- Maintain the City Clerk's Office database, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the issuance of licenses and permits in accordance with city ordinances and state laws.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative support, clerical work, or a related government function.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software (e.g., Salesforce, Accela).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
