Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Prepare and distribute official city council meeting agendas and minutes
- Administer oaths of office and public document notarizations
- Ensure compliance with state and federal record-keeping regulations
- Coordinate with city departments on public information requests
- Lead the preservation of historical city documents and archives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal governance or records management experience
- Michigan Notary Public certification required
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Deep knowledge of Michigan election laws and FOIA regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
