Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance of official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Lead digital archiving initiatives to modernize public document accessibility
- Manage municipal elections processes including candidate filings and voter education
- Coordinate public records requests while ensuring compliance with open meeting laws
- Advise City Council on procedural matters and legislative documentation
- Supplement record management staff and develop departmental workflows
- Represent the city at public forums regarding municipal records policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years in municipal records management or government compliance
- Expert knowledge of Arizona open records laws and municipal procedures
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Proven experience managing public records request workflows
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (MMC) or Records Manager preferred
- Exceptional written communication and stakeholder management skills
