- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open-meeting laws
- Serve as clerk for city council meetings and prepare official documentation
- Maintain municipal archives and implement digital record-keeping systems
- Process business licenses and municipal permits efficiently
- Act as primary liaison between citizens and city government
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or records management experience
- Deep knowledge of election procedures and open records laws
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (CMC) or similar preferred
- Experience managing high-volume public records requests
