Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and contracts with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Process and issue various permits, licenses, and certificates to the public with accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for citizens, businesses, and city officials at the front counter and via phone/email.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, packets, and official correspondence for City Council and Board meetings.
- Oversee the maintenance of the City's filing systems, ensuring data integrity and easy retrieval.
- Perform data entry and database management tasks to support departmental reporting needs.
- Assist in the preparation of statistical reports and special projects as assigned by the City Manager or Department Head.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in municipal government, customer service, or administrative record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with government database software (e.g., Tyler Technologies) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all municipal policies and procedures.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
