Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, and council minutes
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer oaths of office and document certifications
- Prepare agendas and materials for legislative meetings
- Manage city seal and official document authentication
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and IT departments on record-keeping systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep understanding of Kentucky Revised Statutes and open records laws
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Notary Public certification preferred
