Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and maintain accurate minutes for City Council, Planning Commission, and other official board meetings.
  • Manage the City Clerk's Office correspondence, including public inquiries, FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests, and legal notices.
  • Administer oaths of office and certify official documents, resolutions, and ordinances.
  • Coordinate logistics for public meetings, including scheduling, venue setup, and meeting materials distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) regarding public records and open meeting laws.
  • Assist in the archiving and indexing of historical municipal records and documents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal administration, public records management, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Oregon public records laws (ORS 192) and open meeting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with records management software.
