Responsibilities
- Process and review incoming correspondence, applications, and official documents with high accuracy.
- Assist the general public by answering inquiries regarding city ordinances, services, and procedures.
- Perform data entry and maintain up-to-date digital and physical records.
- Prepare, organize, and file reports and correspondence for department supervisors.
- Operate standard office equipment, including scanners, printers, and multi-line telephone systems.
- Collaborate with other city departments to ensure seamless information flow.
- Ensure the reception area and workspaces are clean, organized, and professional.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in clerical, administrative, or customer service roles is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
