Responsibilities
- Process and Organize Documentation: Accurately manage incoming mail, applications, and official records in accordance with city protocols.
- Public Assistance: Provide courteous and efficient assistance to residents, visitors, and city employees regarding departmental inquiries.
- Data Management: Maintain and update digital and physical databases with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Communication Support: Draft and prepare correspondence, memos, and reports for senior staff as directed.
- Office Operations: Operate office machinery, including copiers, scanners, and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Record Keeping: Ensure all filing systems are current, organized, and easily retrievable for audits and reviews.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and maintain organized records.
- Reliability: Ability to work a standard full-time schedule and adhere to strict attendance policies.
- Driver’s License: Valid Florida Driver’s License preferred.
