Responsibilities
- Oversee design and execution of $50M+ transportation infrastructure projects
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and agency stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations (FHWA, MoDOT standards)
- Conduct traffic impact studies and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Prepare and present project updates to state leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Missouri or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and transportation modeling software
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of MoDOT design standards and FHWA regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with environmental permitting processes
