Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Planning: Lead the design and planning of municipal projects, including roadways, bridges, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with city codes.
- Project Management: Oversee project lifecycles from conception to completion, managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications.
- Construction Oversight: Monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to engineering plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation for internal review and public transparency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with city planners, contractors, and community members to resolve engineering challenges.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Indiana is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering or public works.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
