Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules 24/7
- Conduct regular security checks and headcounts during night operations
- Respond to emergencies, altercations, and medical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Screen visitors and incoming packages for contraband
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during transports
- Ensure compliance with state and federal correctional standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Missouri Peace Officer Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (7PM-7AM)
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
