Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to prevent contraband and ensure compliance
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with appropriate protocols
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using digital systems
- Screen visitors and packages for security compliance before entry
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless transition of information
- Participate in ongoing training for emergency response and crisis management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and clean driving record
- Ability to pass extensive background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong observational skills and ability to remain alert during overnight hours
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections (highly desirable)
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calm professionalism
- U.S. citizenship and minimum age of 21 at time of hire
