Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive county data and systems.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess IT needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and hardware inventory audits.
- Document technical procedures and maintain detailed logs of system performance and incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
