Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS) and hybrid network configurations
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for county departments and public-facing systems
- Document IT procedures and maintain disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and maintenance
- Mentor junior IT staff and implement training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (5+ years experience accepted)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent certification
- Minimum 3 years experience with enterprise-level system administration
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell/Bash) for automation
- Valid Alabama driver's license
