Responsibilities
- Design and engineer scalable, high-availability network solutions for enterprise systems.
- Manage and optimize Cisco routing and switching infrastructure across multiple data centers.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting for complex network outages.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security best practices and protocols.
- Conduct regular network audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Oversee vendor management and technology refresh cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a government or large enterprise environment.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure/AWS) and VPN technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during emergencies.
