Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of medium-to-large-scale IT projects, ensuring alignment with county strategic goals.
- Facilitate Agile and Waterfall methodologies, coordinating with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and challenges to executive leadership and stakeholders through regular reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure all projects adhere to strict County policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT Project Management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing projects in the public sector or large enterprise environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Expert proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- PMP or PgMP certification is strongly preferred.
