Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initiation to deployment and maintenance.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, managing expectations and delivering regular status reports.
- Agile Methodology: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure team velocity and quality.
- Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to mitigate risks and ensure on-time delivery.
- Vendor Coordination: Oversee external vendors and contractors, ensuring SLAs are met and integration with internal systems is seamless.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to strict government regulations, cybersecurity standards, and procurement policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior management capacity.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum frameworks, and project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Confluence.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of identifying risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
